Hello, i share the project i'm working, now is a beta but a few days i have test and pass to production.
It's based on a datting flirt chat, with Chat / Voice / Gps and more i working...

The app is based on FCM FirebaseNotifications, ... is great solution

yes a lot of users, and its really... now have 2.936 users...and the system work perfectly....
(FCM is a good solution...i recommend to all !!!!)

Yes i think use same tecnology, but FCM is slow.
(i think whatsapp, facebook.... use a dedicated server with same tecnology from FCM)

FCM is not slower than GCM. You should only use FCM when your app is not running. Once it is running the app should connect to your server.
