Android Question ñ display alignment

I'm having trouble displaying ñ aligned with the other characters. This character is ascii 164, not the Unicode version of it.
On many Android devices it displays just fine, but on a set of ASUS tablets it displays as in the image below.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Try to use a custom font instead of the default one.
