Are all of those verified/active accounts and not spammers or Newbie accounts that never verified ownership? Before I filtered a bunch of domains and really blocked things I'd get 1-20 new spam accounts a day in a forum on a website with 1/10th the traffic this gets.

It does include such accounts. Though there are not much spammers since there are several tests against automatic registration.
