Accessing to a SQL Server in my local network

I am new to Basic4Android. I am checking the forums, but not sure if I understand about accessing to my local SQL Server. I have a SQL Server in one of my computer in my local network and have 3 computers accessing it. Now I am trying to write an android app to access that SQL Server. Any ideas about accomplishing that? I only want to access the SQL Server, if I am connected to my local wireless network so I am not hitting any website.

You cannot access a SQL server directly from Android. You will need to use a web service for that. The web service can be hosted in the local network. See this tutorial: Connect Android to MS SQL Server Tutorial
