Activity Attirbutes Override Designer?

As per title really;

It appears that the Activity Attributes override any designer settings. i.e. Activity Title. If set to false in designer but true in the activity attribute then the title will show. I'm ok with this but the question begs, why is the option still in the designer IF it is useless?

See the note at the bottom:

It should have been updated to point to the attributes instead of project properties.

why is the option still in the designer IF it is useless

It is not useless as it allows you to see your layout correctly.

Layout files are not connected to any activity so it is not possible to set these settings in the layout files.
