Android Question Activity_Pause astreams.Write

Is it possible to send in Activity_Pause something using astreams.Write(Array As Byte( outpkt(2))).
On leaving or pausing the process i needs to send a byte array to stop the arrival of new data. But I keep getting the error message "sending message to waiting queue (astreams_newdata)". This happens when I press the BACK button ?

Use a service to manage the communication. It will be simpler.
