add background image to widget layout

Hi all i have stumbled upon a issue when adding a background image to my widget.

i can use ColorDrawable and GradientDrawable but when compiling in BitmapDrawable it comes back saying its not supported?

are we able to use a image as the background or do i just use color or gradient.

Only ImageView supports background images in widgets.
