Android Question Admob issue

Trying to update from the old admob library to the new firebase version.

I am using the new library and have added the firebase code snippets to my manifest file.

I am using the demo as posted in the tutorial.
Everything compiles fine, no errors.
I do not get any ads displayed in the app.

Just looking for someone to point me in the right direction.

Check the unfiltered logs. There might be more information.
