Sgg, I have a question about Icon Ads. If a user got Icon Ad already then he installs my app (with Icon Ad too). He will got 1 or 2 Icon Ads on home screen? If only one, do I earn money? I asked AirPush but their answer don't relate to my question :D

- I earn money when AirPush place ads on notification area or only when user clicks on their ads? Because I got total 1,120 pushes but I earned only 3.65$.

It only installs 1 search icon... when u try to install a new one, it will just fail. I am not sure if you are paid if this happens or not though.

Airpush is not a per-click ad company. You earn as long as they send out the advertisement. Set it to 2 ads per day :D Maximise your revenue potential....

As for how much you earn, well, the ecpm fluctuates depending on how much the advertiser wants to pay airpush... so it is sometimes up, sometimes down... cheers!

I got new answers from AirPush:

1. If the user already has Icon ad, but he installs your app which has different app id, then a different Icon ad will be created in his phone deskstop and then you will surely earn through it.
2. When the user clicks on the Push ad, then only you will earn money.

For answer #2 I'm so confused because in their FAQ, AirPush said that users don't need to click on push ads.

Do I get paid on a CPM or CPC basis?

Developers are paid on a CPM basis (cost per thousand impressions) rather than CPC. An "impression" in the case of Push Notification Ads includes any time an ad is pushed to a device, whether or not the user actually views the ad or not.

Hmm.. i think they are right about point 1 (for icon ads)

For point 2, their FAQ is right. I am very sure my users are not clicking as many ads as are being shown.

Regarding the question about CPM vs. CPC pricing... Airpush pays developers on a CPM basis, however the actual CPM *rate* is driven by CTR, CPC, and Quality (the latter driven by post-click conversion analysis). As a result, if you have 1,000 impressions and 0 clicks then you will earn $0, because even though you're being paid on a CPM basis our system will consider your CPM to $0 if you have zero clicks / zero CTR.

I believe that would be a very good revenue source for more developers, especially those who dont want notification ads implemented in their apps.

Regarding Signup Ads, we found some fantastic ways to make them more profitable during the Beta test which has caused some delays. We estimate 4 weeks or so, but believe me it will be worth the wait !

It seems Push Ads got problem. From 2 days ago my fill rate is only 54.19% and my 3 android phones didn't get any push (my app is 1 ad every 1 day).
And why CPM of Icon Ads is only $8.01 (it's usally $12) ?

I'm waiting for your answer. Thank you.

Susu;

a) The fill rates went down temporarily because a large APAC ad network we work with paused for technical reasons. They are resuming within a matter of hours so you will see fill rates back up immediately !

b) Regarding Icon Ads, you are actually seeing MORE revenue and MORE total icon installs, but a lower overall CPM. The reason is we have a second Icon Ads partner running tests, and while bidding is a bit lower it has made the overall revenue go up. Please confirm the app in question is seeing higher Icon Ads revenue even though the CPM went down, otherwise PM me the app name and I will have it investigated !

Sorry for delay in response.

Earnings displayed on top right corners of page fetch while login or refreshed every 10 minutes, these values might be few minutes older than earnings displayed in other part of page.

Middle part of page is loading real-time payment stats. You might see a newer earnings on each page refresh.

The "Pending Earnings" give in box above is pulling data through ajax and thus loaded even after page. Sometimes you might have earned amount between page load and ajax call and thus have fractional difference between grid data.

We have fixed this now and displaying the Pending Earnings / Pending Amount on page load to keep up consistency.

Can you please email us your appid to [email protected] for further investigation.
