Android App distribution?

Hi Erel,

I have been using Basic4ppc for years now and wrote some programs for my work and passed these program to some of my colleague.

How do I distribute appilcations from Basic4android?

(sorry I,m very new to Andriod but forth see the switch to android when my currunt WM6 phone runs out)

1. You compile your program to .apk file and install to Android device.
2. You can upload your app to Android Market that end users can install directly.

Hi TC

Try sending the APK (after setting a Private Sign Key) as a file attachment to the phone's Gmail account and tap on Preview as it comes in. I haven't tried it yet myself, though.

I've used the email-as-attachment approach via GMail
quite a bit in testing lately... works flawlessy, at least
on my Droid X with 2.2 on it.

Another option is to copy it to the device SD card and then open it with a file manager (which can be downloaded from the market).
