Needed to add: import android.service.media.MediaBrowserService.Result;

What I put here is as far as I have gotten.

Cannot seem to find a way to hook MediaBrowserServiceCompat and have posted asking for some help. But no responses. Can't go any further without that ability

Any progress on this? I've tried the skeleton and I get only a new app in the media section of AA. When runing, just the title "Android Auto media" and a blank screen with an animated "wait" symbol in the middle. Nothing in the top left menu. Do you know how to display controls on the screen or to add menu items?

I want to make one of my apps compatible with Android auto and I don't know how to create the GUI and the menu.

Sorry, nothing new to report
I have a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. Using a program called Honda Hack I was able install my own app for playing music.
Once I did that I stopped doing anything with Android Auto
