How do you change the android virtual device from being portrait to landscape?

Thanks. Is there a way to make the virtual device think it has been physically rotated from portrait to landscape?

I do press the 7 or the 9 key and get the orientation change. Don't you ?

Just by pressing those keys.

Hitting 7 or 9 keys on my computer keyboard is just like typing 7 or 9 on the virtual keyboard. Doesn't do anything to orientation. Ctrl-F11 changes the display orientation, but isn't like physically rotating device.

Sorry if I've missed where controlling the AVD is documented.
