Android Question App icon has blue dot

Hi,

I have a customer who is using my Android app on his phone and the app icon has a blue dot up the top right of the icon, similar to the following screenshot.

Does anyone know what that blue dot means ?

It usually means there's a notification. Does your app send notifications ?

Yeah, my app does Firebase push notifications.

The customer sent a screenshot of his phone, but it doesn't show the notification in the system notification tray at the top of the phone.
