iOS Question app not in apple store

Hi all,
my customer doesn't want the app to be published on apple store, because the app is only used by employees.
How can i have a .ipa file with distribution certificate to give to the Customer?

Does the customer have an enterprise developer account? Otherwise they will only be able to distribute the app to a maximum of 100 devices (the devices listed in the provision profile).
