It's recognized in device manager, but can't upload sketch to it.. here's the logs..
Any meaning appreciated.

Connecting to programmer: .avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding

Open the generated Arduino program with Arduino IDE (Objects\src\src.ino). Are you able to run it?

Sorry but I didn't know how to upload it to the Arduino controller from outside the IDE. Am I missing something?

You can open this with Arduino.exe.
The application is located inside the Arduino installation

I have heard similar cases with cheap Chinese copies of Arduino Uno boards and the answer was to burn again the bootloader. Maybe this fits here to.
