b4a bridge - device issue

I am trying to troubleshoot 2 versions of my application by alternating them via the b4a bridge. I run the 1st version with the bridge connected. I then disconnect it from the bridge pull up the ide for the 2nd version, and re-connect. However, even though the ide and the device indicate connected, the 2nd version app won't load. I disconnect again, then re-connect with the same results. I eventually have to close the device and re-start before I can get it to work. I use the device/bridge a lot but not to do what I just described. If I stick with the same version, no problems. Any ideas why I am experiencing this issue?

Are you running two instances of the IDE?

Yes. It's like they are 2 separate programs. I tried using a separate device (different ip) for one of the versions but that got even more complex.

B4A-Bridge was not tested for such case. Why don't you load the second version in the same IDE? It should be pretty quick.

The 2 versions are separate programs, each with its own code. What do you mean by loading into the same IDE?

Run the first program, load the second project to the IDE (replacing the previous one) and run it.
