B4A Bridge - Storage card not available ??

I am developing on a non-phone device, in this case an Egreat media player that runs on Android 2.2 and has HDMI connected to TV. Allows installation of Android apps.

I install B4A bridge fine but if I do not have an SD Card installed then I get this message when I start B4A bridge....

"Storage card not available. Make sure that your device is not connected in USB debugging mode."

When I click to remove the message, then the buttons are all greyed out except STOP.

Is this a bug ? old Android behaviour ?

Easy to workaround by just inserting an SD card...but curious why ..

B4A-Bridge needs to write to the default external storage. When it starts it checked that File.ExternalWritable is true. If not it shows this error message.

Programmatically installing an APK file is done by sending an intent. The installer (which is a different process) cannot access your app internal folder. So an external storage must be used.
