Android Question B4A lag problem

Hi All

I've got a problem with B4a V3.00, It randomly lags.. sometimes around 10 seconds then everything starts working again... doesnt completely freeze it always comes back but its extremely annoying.

This happens when just writing code sometimes... sometimes after compiling.

I tried changing MaxRamForDex=512 to MaxRamForDex=0

then i get this error when compiling, Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx0m

anyone have a solution to this?

You can try to disable the optimized dexer: set MaxRemForDex value to 512 and set UseOptimizedDexer to false. Though it is most probably not the reason for this slowdown.

I'm not familiar with such slowdowns.

Can you check Task Manager when that happens?

Thanks for replying Erel, I'll have a look when it happens again.. the last time it happened i looked at task manager and it was Java something possibly SE? that was using alot of resources... but like i said ill wait till it happens agaih to confirm

In that case it is the optimized dexer. You can disable it as explained above.
