Android Question B4ABridge heartbeat stopped!

I used my Pixel 4a, disconnected from my usual home network as a hotspot together with my laptop. When I reconnected to the home network, ran B4A on my usual desktop and B4ABridge on the Pixel 4a I noticed that the heartbeat was not occurring in B4ABridge, and Tools -> B4ABridge -> Connect did not show the name of the Pixel 4a as usual but still showed my other usual device running B4ABridge. I could connect to the Pisel 4a IP address and it showed the device name at the bottom of the IDE but it never showed the name in the Connect menu by the IP address. Restarting B4ABridge didn't cure this but restarting/rebooting the device did.

Is B4ABridge caching something somewhere to cause this behaviour?

not that i know of.

this is an old thread and i´m not sure if the code there is the actual one. But maybe worth to look at

B4A-Bridge source code

B4A-Bridge is made of two components. One component is running on the device and the other is embedded in the IDE. The device side is the server side. It waits for connections and when a connection is established it handles the "action" messages. The code itself is made of a simple activity...

No. The heartbeat signals the detection of the UDP broadcast packet. This feature is not always reliable.
