The question is actually about B4XSearchTemplate, not about B4XDialog.

I recommend you to make a copy of B4XSearchTemplate and SearchTemplate layout files, change their names and add them to your project. You will find them inside the b4xlib (zip) file.

This will allow you to change the template appearance.
