Hi everybody!

Does anybody have experience with available Windows mobile-smartphones and their battery duration?

I need a long lasting smartphone/battery (min. 3 hours) where I could run my Basic4pcc application with permanently active GPS.

Thanky you in advance!

Hi, it depends, if you active the GPS permanently your battery will burn lol, you can also use the battery charger and charge it every time when you use the GPS...
Sorry I can't help anymore... Good luck and have a nice navigating :)

I just say that the batterie will last not a long time if he Active the GPS every time, and it's better to use the GPS with a charger in a car or anywhere...
It's like the Bluetooth/Wi-fi, I forgot to turn off these hardware and now my Batterie last not a long time, I must charge it every hours :(
So I would tell him that it's dangerous for his battery to activate the GPS everytime during 3h without charge it when it's activated, the battery is less used than without the charger :)
Sorry if it was not important...

I have an ASUS A696 PocketPC and a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 smartphone. I use both devices for cycling and use a software called Run.GPS for recording my tracks. With both devices it is no problem to use them 4-5 hours with GPS but I have switched backlight off most of the time.

I think on most devices GPS is not the battery discharger No.1. Try to switch off your display/backlight or at least dim it and try to keep CPU usage quite low.
