Hey there and welcome to the forums!

I hope you enjoy it here :).
I just want to say what a great job you did buying basic4ndroid.
It's really worth the price for the performance and a great community.

Welcome Neil!

Truly what verhelst said is right, B4A is an absolutely fabulous product. The learning curve, especially for those coming from a Visual Basic or VB.NET background can be almost too much to bear. This product makes it almost effortless for those with an already vested interest and amount of time in Visual Basic to be able to hit the ground running on the Android platform.

To me, it's worth it's weight in gold, literally.

You already have full access (you can see the green star under your name).

Thanks Erel for the quick reply.

One quick question, is it easier to work with a json reponse or XML within the framework ?

My web service can send both, just a thought ?

Great product

I'm a programmer (PowerBASIC, PHP, JavaScript) and I wanted to get started on Android, I can dabble in Java but it's too much dealing with Eclipse and XML and all that jive, by "accident" I found Basic4Android, I downloaded the trial, and 2 days later purchased the full version, I'm very happy with it.

I have a question, how are the updates done (especially the libraries)? I like to have always the latest and greatest.

The version I purchased is the Enterprise version.

Thanks
