Android Question Beginner question

    why the spinner is not displayed correctly.
    I did not find solutions by searching the forum.
    My smarphone is a htc one M8. Is that why? Thank you in advance. (I join the screenshot).

    Actually the first one is the "more correct" one. The second screenshot is based on Android 2 theme. Open the manifest editor and change targetSdkVersion to 4 to use the old style.

    Do what I did is valid (see image). The result is the same.

    If you set the targetSdkVersion to 14 it will look like your 1st screen shot, if you set it to 4 then will look like the second, also, you will have to comment line #12 to disable the HOLO theme.
