Bluetooth Connection Issue

I'm in a hotel... the WiFi is crappy at best. The laptop I have (Dell Latitude E5500 Windows XP) Has a Bluetooth symbol on it... but every time I tried to click "Connect-Bluetooth" it always said, "No Radio Found".

I went to Best Buy and purchased a "Rocketfish USB Bluetooth" device... and I installed it. I told it to look for devices and it found my "RK20SDK" Android tablet just fine... I paired them.

So I was all excited about being able to program... and started the B4A software, then clicked the "Connect-Bluetooth" and still get the "No Radio Found". What else is really odd... is in the B4A box that pops up it has a text box that says "LOG:" and in that text box it has "Finding Bluetooth radio: Success"

So it is just not right... I just spent $20.00 on the device, it connects... but I can't use it. So unless I'm sitting right at a really good hotspot... I can't attach to the tablet. It is very frustrating right now... I want to design some apps and I'm just sitting here.

So what do I do now?

Yes... that is not the issue... the B4A in the PC is never seeing a radio.

In other words... it can't find the Bluetooth adapter so the process of logging in never occurs. Some Dell computers have a built-in Bluetooth... this one does not. I added a plug-in USB dongle... Windows sees it just fine... I can link and pair the tablet, no issue there. But from inside B4A...

When I click to start the Bluetooth... the software basically tells me that I don't have the physical equipment. Then... in the log it says "Successful".

It's about as "Successful" as the Titanic.

For now... I put the tablet on the other side of the room on an ironing board near the door... it gets enough WiFi to work. Sure would be nice to have it NEXT to the laptop!!! :D

Thanks ~ Jerry

Did you ever figure this out? I'm getting the same error with all 3 of my devices. Each one pairs fine and I'm able to fully connect and communicate with devices for audio and files, I just cannot get b4a to link to them.

Log says "Finding Bluetooth Radio: Success, but then i get popup: "No Radio Found."

No. I never figured it out nor did anyone else. I was told to try using the USB or LAN cable... but haven't figured that out either. Basically I only program when I'm home. :-(
