There are a lot of Android development books, but I have only seen ones where Java or C is being used. Are there any books out there that deal with writing apps using B4A? Or books that would be 'close enough'?
Well, no not really.
All that's needed is a basic knowledge of BASIC and you can then receive help from forum members. Developing in B4A is pretty much like developing in VB(actually it's more like VB6).
As long as you know the basics of BASIC, you will be just fine using B4A...
Any good BASIC books that would be useful for learning to work on Android? According to other posts it is not recommended to poke too much at VB6 due to the differences?
Why I am looking for books is the wealth of real-world apps that you often find in the likes of Wrox, Apress, etc. It also often gives insight on more ways of skinning the same cat and even ideas of 'what can be done'. There is also stuff like design learnings, lots of pictures, etc that a non-developer like me find useful.
