Hello!
Allow me first to say: Wow! How can such a mighty framework (b4x) be such a sleeper? From time to time I searched for solutions to build native or native-near code for Android without using Java and I found b4a not before today. I needed only 1 hour to bring a widget to work. Ugly and without any function and only within the bridge app but working! I am really impressed!
Now to my question: I built an Android app in Cordova and want to add a widget to it. Is it possible to code the widget in b4a to support my Cordova coded app? I know, I know. There is no need to use Cordova any longer when one has found b4x But the Cordova based app is rather complex and it would take 4 month or more for me to adapt it to b4a.
My app is - attention: boring alert! - a weather app and I need the standard functionality. Requesting one or two times per hour informations from my server to let the widget know which text and which icon/image to be displayed.
Best regards from a new b4a fan from Germany
Marc
