Use #Extend to subclass a service: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/example-of-extends-in-service.74880/ I think that the second option will usually be simpler to implement.

I created this thread about that the example is older than the FCM-Service so i asked about the new one ;-) Erel said: 2.
