Can I publicate a paid application without Android In-app Billing service?

I want to publish my application.(this is my first try)
Can I publish a paid application without Android In-app Billing service?
If yes, why should I use that?
(what I understand I have to add some code in my application)

Do you want to sell your app? You do not need to use in-app billing service.
This service allows you to sell products or services from inside your app.
