Android Question Changing button text (caption) at runtime!

Trying to change the button text at run time, returned no error, but no change either.. code:
What's missing in this code?

Sub Spinner1_ItemClick (Position As Int, Value As Object)
    crit = Value
    Select crit
       Case "Chn"
       Button2.Text= "显示"

    End Select
End Sub

Any help appreciated!

p.s.
crit is dimed elsewhere as string
