Android Question Clickable Text Touch Duration

For a displayed text string, I'm trying to determine which text (word) is touched and for how long --
something like a combination of Gesture Detection with the Clickable spans of LabelExtras.
Where Gesture Detection gives touch and release indications and Clickable Spans gives the text that is touched.
