G grgczyz Member Licensed User Feb 11, 2014 #3 Hi Erel, Maybe it could be done just like in "Rad Studio xe5"?
Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Feb 11, 2014 #4 I'm not familiar with the compilation of Rad Studio xe5. Are they running it in a virtual Android machine? Does it look like an Android application? How can it interact with Android OS when it runs as an exe file? If you are connecting a real device to the IDE then the deployment is usually very quick. If you want to run it in a virtual machine then connect to GenyMotion or one of the similar VMs. Last edited: Feb 11, 2014

G grgczyz Member Licensed User Feb 11, 2014 #5 well ... I do not know how it really works but maybe you could see following page and watch the film - especially the second half of it. www.embarcadero.com/products/rad-studio I can imagine that it could work maybe similar like in basic4ppc where it was possible to create standalone exe .NET windows applications.

Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Feb 11, 2014 #6 I did look and according to several discussions in their forums the build time and deployment time of their Android solution is very slow. For example this guy says that it takes 9 minutes for his app to start: https://forums.embarcadero.com/thread.jspa?threadID=93445 Compare it with the rapid debugger + B4A Bridge that allow you to connect with any device and install in seconds. Anyway, this forum is not the place to discuss other solutions...
