I'm making some tests with an updated AndroidX sdk, Firebase sdk and build tools.

If you can please download this apk and run it on your device. It doesn't do anything except of showing the Android SDK version.

If it fails to start then post the Android version.

I'm looking for tests on devices running Android 5 to Android 9.

No need for further tests. Thank you!

When I went to install it, it asked if I wanted to "update" an existing app on my phone, so the package name of this test app is probably the default b4a.example.

And since I don't remember what other app on my phone is currently using that package name, I don't know which app to uninstall first because when I still try to install this one, it fails - probably because of the version/key conflict.

Can you repost the test app with a unique package name so I can install it?

Added: I'm looking for tests on devices running Android 5 to Android 9.
It fails in my tests with Android 7-:

- Redmi 9A - Android 10 (show Android 29)
- Galaxy A71 - Android 12 - OK (show Android 31)

- Moto G4 - Android 7 - FAIL
- Galaxy S2 Duos - Custom Rom Android 6.0 - FAIL

I tried to install it on a 5.02 Samsung tablet and it would NOT install.

The tablet is rooted and I have a few packages "frozen" on it, like the playstore (so it wont do automatic updates), so I don't know if that makes a difference, but I wanted to mention this in case it does.

I think it might be more helpful to Erel if everyone could indicate if it fails to "Install" or fails to "Run".

I'm a bit late to the party so I didn't see that the test was concluded. I'll post my findings anyway, because why not. :)

Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.4.4 - couldn't install (no reason given)
Alcatel Pixi 4 with Android 6.0 - installed fine, crash on run
