Android Question Connecting cell phone how modem. Is possible?

Hi guys,
do you know if is possible (with specific app) call an android cell phone through GSM modem and have data exchange in real time?
Simplifying the issue: I need of connection MODEM to MODEM to exchange realtime data from sensors of cell phone to my PC.

I don't know the answer, but I've had similar ideas about sending and recieving fax. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

I don't think that it is possible.

Well, at least in theory, you could simply listen to the signals and analyse them, and generating the apropriate singals to send, all in software. It's all sounds. A bit like what the USB Robotics HST modems did, everything in software, everything upgradable with a software update.

It's not easy, though.
