Other Crap game compo 2014

Hello,

Several coding communities have their game coding competitions.

Anyone interested in a so called "Crap game compo" ?

The aim of the compo is to get people into coding mini games just to learn what it is all about.
In this case the aim is to make a funny game
If it is really playable or not is up to you (this is the crap part of the title)
We don't expect moths of hard labour so one day codings might enter aswell

to keep things interesting we might add some limitations like:

limit the filesize to 1Mb
limit lib usage to the plain gameview only (no libgdx, andEngine)


What is there to win:

nothing besides ethernal fame
maybe a license extention donated by Erel?
or hardware if we can find sponsors

Deadline could be set at the day before April fools day
so there's still 2 full months left to get busy.

Might be fun - I am giving you a very definite "maybe" - will depend on the details of the competition. But I do think it is a great idea.

Ok. If you start it and there is a real interest I will provide 3 license extensions (2 years each).

Why such limitations? The time is in itself a very strong limitation, so I see no interest if you add other limitations.

I wrote "we might add some limitations", there are no final rules set yet.

you don't need gdx for a pong clone, you can do that without it aswell.
If I add that 1Mb limit you can forgot about gdx already since it's huge as it gets added completely or light.

Like I said I don't expect full games with 300 levels or something, your pacdroid game that was made in 2 days is a nice example of an entry if it wasn't released before.

We can force a theme too, like it has to contain something like a car, fish ...

Options enough but I need help on that point.
