Android Question Create a map using notepad on pc?

This may be a silly question, but is there a way to create a map file using notepad on a pc?

I want to have a series of maps, the kind B4A makes when you write a map, I opened one up and saw it appeared to be a text file in the form

Key1=Value1

so I tried making this form of text file in notepad but then every value read in by a B4A app using it reads in as "null" so I was wondering how I would be able to manually create maps that I can add to the applications assets folder rather than write an app to create the maps for me.

The text file written with File.WriteMap is quite simple. It is a Java properties file. See this article:
