Wish Create and access Directly to database with the IDE

Hi Erel, please I want ask you If It Is possible to make new feature for create and access Directly database In the IDE from B4A ?
That would be a good option for develop visualy database applications directly, very use full for not profesional developers like me.
Many other developement environement give you this possibility and to access directly with controls In property ‘Datasourse’…

That's not really a good idea for the B4X IDE IMO. If you need to monitor a DB then just use an external program like HeidiSQL or SQLite Expert etc.

There's absolutely no need to start turning clean looking and simple to use B4X into VS.

Why not include a coffee machine in a development system, then? At least 80% of the developers are addicted to coffee... Yet the pc manufacturers keep coffee machines out of their systems...
Now, seriously... I can understand that it is "very important" to you, @Juanjodb, but, as Peter mentioned, you have specialised software to do it...
What would be asked next? A included Lamp server!?

Simply right click on any file in the Files Manager and choose Configure External Editors.

These are a couple of them that I use:

D:\SQLite\SQLiteExpertPers.exe
D:\Notepad++\notepad++.exe

You can, of course, use SQLiteExpertPers to configure your database

However on topic, I must agree with him. As B4X is now, it is the best in what it should be: a programming environment. And that is only possible because it doesn't try to 're-invent' stuff like database builders or report builders. Instead, it makes it very easy to integrate B4X with existing, production ready, 3th party tools.

If Erel had to 're-write' database or report builders, we would end-up with a half-baked solution. All the 'small' programming tools that have tried it all ended up like that: endless lists of bugs, regressions and the resulting database/report builders are pretty useless for professional use (they are more like a gimmick and can never compete with the features of stand-alone products).

What we have now is the most stable programming environment I have ever come accross and the possibility to have swift updates and bug fixes (sometimes within minutes after reporting!). That is priceless for any programmer/company who's life income depends on it.

If one needs reports or databases, one can just pick one that has also proven to be stable and reliable.

But you were right to make this wish! I just think the time Erel spends on the IDE and features of the programming language are more important. And don't worry, once people trully discover the power of B4X, they won't move away that easy, especially as it provides all kind of solutions (even if they are using external tools).

What for me Is Important Is to respect choice from every one, I have wish what others d'ont have, for me Important Is to respect the other choices and not make disrespectful comments what others have to wish In developement environement.
