Android Question Customize button events by showing different images

I what to show the action of pressing the button and the code to executed only on long_click ..then if userl only presses short to toastmessage informing him to press long the button !

It is a bit confusing because the button seldom is showing that is being pressed but no long_click event was fired , or long_click event is fired and toastmessage is showing .

The correct way should be to trigger a toastmessage when click without chageing button image as pressed the if long click show button image as pressed without any other warning , if I knew how !!!
Simple but complicated ,I would be glad to receive other sugestions and not to spend a week finding a solution ....i am pretty frustrated of this minor issue.

I think that the problem happens because you are using a Toast message. You can use a custom toast message like this one: http://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/class-custom-toast-messages.18926/#content

This will allow you to immediately hide the toast message in your Long click event.
