Android Question Cycles and activities

Good afternoon,

As I've said in an earlier post, I'm doing an app that runs for a long time (might be running for 10 or 12 hours).

It has a service module which basically sends authentication and GPS coordinates witha timer. And...the regular activities layouts.

The problem is that after some time - generally 30 minutes - of the phone being asleep, the app is resumed to the main view - not the second, and all the services seem to have stoped.

Does anyone has a solution or has been in a similar situation who might help me?

Regards,

Kepler

As said before... Take a good look at the starter service... You can use it along side a small "status" file in order to re-enter to the correct activity

I have an app with a service running 24/7. Never had any problem, I used service.startForeground. Perhaps a look at this tutorial could help.
