Date & Time

Hi There

I am trying to write a program for a tablet, that I need to synchronize with another device over RS232. Is there a way to Set the System date & time from code.
Basically the attached device will send me current system date and time, which I would like to use to set the current date & time on the tablet.

Android doesn't allow you to set the date and time programmatically.
