Bug? Designer files with capital letters cannot be found

In B4I I can create the following .bil file: frm_Test
frm_Test is then displayed in the Designer and frm_test in the Explorer.

In B4A it says that it cannot find a part of the path when I create a frm_Test in the desinger, in the explorer the file is also created as frm_Test. I set up my PC 1 week ago and used an old version of B4A before, since it still works in B4I, was something changed in the last B4A version? Or have I overlooked a setting?

In B4J I can also name a designer file frm_Test, strangely enough the file is also displayed in the explorer frm_Test and there is no error message that a part of the path could not be found.

This is not a bug. It happened because you added the files directly to the Files folder.
If you click on the Sync button it will lowercase the file name and keep the original name in the IDE.

It is related to Android being file system being case sensitive.

Okay, it has something to do with the path. If I move the whole thing to the desktop, no error message appears. But strange why it still works in B4J and B4I under the path

The file is probably locked by another process. The IDE tries to lowercase the name and fails.

@Alexander Stolte You probably already know how to figure out what process has your file open. But just in case, here's a utility I've used over the years and found useful:

This handy command-line utility will show you what files are open by which processes, and much more.

it would be nice... It's not my Nextcloud, it's not windows defender and it's not Virtual Desktop this time either... And these windows programs can't find the .bal file.

It has something to do with the Nextcloud folder. Because if I use a different folder on the same drive, everything works.

I solved it by moving everything to another drive.

you can also use iobit unlocker to resort to more aggressive method of forcing unlock on file (comes in handy in force delete situations too)

Yes it is, except for my photo folder, but the entire windows system is case sensitive by default

But it's working again now and I'm glad about that
