Using downloaded examples I have just started to get the error when compiling that generation of R file failed because directory name is invalid. I am using v1.91 b4a. Aside from updates I have not changed anything.

still an issue

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply I am still having this issue after 'clean project'.
Something I did not mention was that the error occurs when you open the project. I have included the project example and a screen pic of the error in the attached zip....thanks.

I have not download the project as I am on mobile. I have had a few times the IDE would give an error and the clean project did not work. I have gone in to the objects directory and deleted all files and folders other than the res folder. Each time this cleared the errors I had. Just be sure not to delete any files that you might of placed in that folder.

part solved

I have a project folder with lots of examples I have downloaded and over time I have 2 copies of the same folder with (1) added to the top level folder name. This example is one of them. I tried copying this folder as is with the (1) appended to another drive it still threw the error, then I changed the top level folder name (removed the (1)) and it worked. I had another example with the same problem and did the same thing and it worked as well. Still not sure what it is though.

thanks again

I posted that last post just as you replied....yes it worked. Just a quick note I have other folders which have the (1) appended and they seem to work. The only difference is they dont have the another folder nested inside where the project is. Thanks again.....
