I love the editor used in the IDE. Is there a stand along version of the editor that can run stand alone off a portable flash drive? I am not looking for compile capability, just editing.
I never tried to run it stand alone as the program was installed using an installer. The flash drive will not have any Android development programs but still useful to do some coding.
I do not have access to the IDE right now but will I need to copy some DLL's for the IDE to work stand alone or will just the executable be enough?
You will need to copy the complete folder. The only problem is with the license file. You will also need to copy it and register the program when it starts.
No problem as long as I don't have to leave anything on the desktop at work. I need to have everything self contained on the flash drive. Also once it is regestered, will the flash drive work on any computer it is attached too or will I need to re-register the license file on the usb flash drive it for each computer or each time I use a different desktop computer?
