Android Question error in Barcode-Reader example from Erel

Hi,
I was working on Erel's example related to this:
barcode-reader
when running the example, Appears This message
"Failed to create detector"
Have I missed something?

hard to know exactly what you've done or not done, but it sounds like you don't have google's play services dependencies (in the manifest). without them and barring some programming error on your part, you can't read barcodes. the downloading process occurs automatically the first time you run the app, but you need to have the instructions in the manifest and, obviously, be online at the time.

What exactly happened when you ran the app?

The downloading process is managed by Google SDK internally.
