Hello, i want to create a file Explorer with listview with icons associated to files. There is a way to retrieve the icon directly from file? Thanks (sorry for my bad english).

No. Icons are not saved inside the files.

If you are trying to create a launcher then you can show apps icons with PackageManager.

file Explorer

A TEXT file, contains ONLY text, no icons. The same is true for 99.9% of all the file types.


You have to create your own icons and distribute them with your app.
