Ftdi usb cable

has anybody successfully incorporated using an ftdi usb cable into their b4a app? i have several pc apps that interface with microcontrollers that i really need to get ported to the android os.

new ftdi stuff out

looks like there's been some new development on the usb stuff at the ftdi site. anybody following this?

its pretty generic. i was hoping they would have already created a usb cable (similar to the existing 232r stuff) that would incorporate the new module.
