iOS Question FTP issue

I am using iNet FTP commands to list a directory of files on a remote server. Sometimes it lists all the files and other times I get the following error (see pic) .

Any idea why this could be happening?

P.s. I am using passive mode

It timed out. Maybe because of a network error.
