Getting Hex numbers through Bluetooth

Evidently the Bluetooth example uses a library function that transmits information that is placed in a string.
This is fine for the first part of my application. That part sets up a xbee that is physically connected to the receiving Bluetooth module, the HC-07. But those first commands, which the xbee receives in ASCII format, prepares the xbee to transmit a packet of bytes. Those bites are expected to follow the setup commands. If the packet bytes that are to be transmitted are put into a string and sent to the library function they will be converted into a series of ASCII numbers. They will not remain bytes. So the xbee will not recognize (or transmit) the desired packet.
Is it possible to get a packet of bytes through the Bluetooth link to the xbee?

Hi there, i was hired here in the forums by a member to create this sample unfortunately i was never paid what i was promised, regardless i'am posting it in hopes that it helps you get what you need, this was written to work with an HC-06 bluetooth module, study it carefully and use it for what you need.

cheers,
Walter

This is my first venture into Android-anything. So it's all new to me. After checking the data on my remote HC-07 with a signal analyzer, apparently my hardware responds perfectly to your HC-06 ap. So the data conversion problem is solved. That's all I was hoping for at this point. I will just have to figure out how to integrate your code into my first original Android program.

Thanks
