What I do at work to avoid the email filters is to change the suffix to .bmp and send with instructions to rename it back. Sometimes, that's the only way to get code to vendors.

too bad that a decent anti virus/spam appliance is checking content and not just the extentions so it will still remove it.

webserver http link, ftp, dropbox and the likes are a better option I guess.

I have a server so that's no a big issue, but creating the link, asking people to use it, then downloading the file is less convenient than sending directly the file by email.

fully agree.

I now always use my Dropbox account to share a file.
