Google Play developer "conditions"

I do not know if this idea is in violation of the conditions imposed by Google Play.

After publishing this post, I'm going to read the conditions (hoping to find all of them). Certainly, Google Play applies these conditions in a manner not quite uniform: If I remember correctly, it prevents incitement to gambling, but it allows the publication of apps by betting sites!

The idea is this: can I publish an app completely free and without advertising in which, however, I ask for a PayPal donation?

(I suppose the answer is "no", since in that case Google would not collect the 30%)

Thank you in advance.

[P.S. I read but I have not found a specific condition. If anyone has had this experience ...]

Indeed, they might miss some sales when you do that.

I thought I saw it stated when I signed up at google dev.

But I check 2 terms pages and I didn't spot it.

People would not have there refund option if they use your paypal (ok, you can refund through paypal if needed)

I also remember something about admob that you're not allow to ask the app users to click on the ads.

I saw some free apps without ads and ask for donation. I think it's ok to Google Play.
My experience: I published a free app and asked for donation, in total I received $20. It's not much because I got more than 6,000 users. I shut it down after 6 months.

Google Play's Developer Agreement says that you are only allowed to use payment processing outside of Google Play if the user is paying for goods consumed outside of the Google Play environment. The examples they give are ordering movie tickets through your app and music purchase services.

I dont think it will be worth for you to do it even if google would allow it.

You can choose between /or all 3 ways to make money from your apps.

*ads
*in app purchase
*sale

I dont see a reason why you should choose a 4th new way like donation. The people that will donate are to less so better choose 1 of the 3 standart ways to make few $ with your apps.

Btw all 3 ways are good to make money... but ads i think is the best way ...

Damn, this is the only case that I love my poor memory: it allows me to forget that my promise, but you remember it to me often :D

I fear I like too much chat... but right in this moment I opened my old b4j project and I'm restarting to develop it.
It is not a simple project, far from it, but after this one, the next will be small projects.

Thank you again, @ilan

@ilan Have you found that uploaded lots of games has helped the download numbers of each game? I have a number of games that I'm working on but not finished any to the quality I want yet. Maybe I should just release them as they are and improve over time?

As more apps you have online as more people will see your apps

Because if i have installed one of your games automaticly i will see more of your apps...

If you have finished playable games that only need small finishing i think you can upload them and then just upload new improved versions...

I have few games that need to add more animations and levels and i know if i wont have upload them their status would stay the same, after uploading and getting few reviews you are more motivated to improove them :)

Uhm... I don't know if I agree.

I think it should be better a very good app very well publicized.

I am not saying that you should upload your app in any condition.

What i mean is if you fill no motivation working anymore on a project and its only holding your harddisk space if its playable then upload it and after few downloads you will improove it anyway.

Of course the best way is upload every app after test it and finish it but from my experience you will update almost any app anyway. After a while you will see what you can improove and because its online you have more motivation to do it then if you keep it on your hard disk.

I have 40+ apps uploaded to stores (b4i/b4a)
and 30+ unfinished apps...

So its hard sometimes to work only on 1 app until it is perfect, after a while you have new ideas and put uncomleted projects on standby and this is a great motivation killer.
