Is there a way to clear the Googlemaps default icons and markers?

does clear all Markers, Polygones, Polylines (and so on) you have set.

I'm trying to clear the markers and locations that are already on the google map when it is loaded. I have not set any of my own markers or polylines yet but there are already icons and place markers on the map from google. Am I able to clear those so it only shows the map and streets?
